Heroes & Thieves

Well, disaster it strikes on a daily basis
I'm looking for wisdom in all the wrong places
But still want to laugh in disappointed faces
But you can't help me
I'm blinded by these

Heroes and thieves at my door
I can't seem to tell them apart anymore
Just when I've figured it out
Well darlin' it's you I'm without

Well I'm stubborn and wrong
But at least I know it

I keep moving along until I can get through this
But maybe this song is the best I can do it
So I'm patiently waiting on these

Heroes and thieves at my door
I can't seem to tell them apart anymore
Just when I've figured it out
Well darlin' it's you
Darlin' it's you oh,
Darlin' it's you

I'm without your comforting logic

Like these days are the ones I'll miss
And I see a solitude that I can't find without you

Well, it seems like I'm getting closer somehow
A flicker of peace that I've finally found
Thank you for believing in me now
'Cause I do need it

Well, give me a year or two
And I'll mend my ways and see these mistakes and
When I see the truth
Well, darlin' trust me
When I can't see
I'll be coming back

I'll be coming back to you

These heroes and thieves at my door
I can't seem to tell them apart anymore
Just when I've figured it out
Well, darlin' it's you
Darlin' it's you
Oh, darling it's you I'm without

Electrique Turns to Fantasy for the Upcoming 11th Album, 'Rainbow's End'

After the very successful (wow sino nagsabi?)
launch of Electrique's tenth album, "The Ice", music-album-compilation
fanatic Mr. Aldasiel now turns his attention to the upcoming summer
album. Here's a sneak preview on the reviews about "The Ice" as well as
snippets on Electrique's eleventh offering!

Q: Congratulations on your launch!

A: Thank you very much Q!

Q: I've heard rave reviews about the launch. It was so much fun (daw)! But how was the reception of the album itself?

A: Good enough. The response wasn't as many as those I received for
"Light", but they were good enough criticisms. Honestly, I didn't
expect much for "The Ice" since it was a fun-fun album and I know that
there are few pop music fans remaining in this world.

Q: So does it mean that it wasn't good enough for your standards?

A: No. But one problem about it is that it sounds rather unsure. It's
not a pure dance album, but it can't be considered a non-dance album
either. Well, it was my first attempt at a dance album so I cannot
blame myself if I ended up in the middle...

Q: There are rumors that the next album will be another dance album
called "0 K (Zero Kelvin)". Is that true? Your albums are getting
colder and colder!

A: No. I will not be doing another dance album this summer. Perhaps my
12th or 13th one. But this time, I assure my listeners that this future dance album will be more daring and danceable than "The Ice" was.

Q: There are also rumors that your 11th album will be the last one.
Your first album was called "Eleven" and some say that it dictates how
many albums you will produce. Also, I've heard that financial
constraints are becoming too hard to bear. Is there truth in that?

A: This will not be my last album (cheers from all over the universe were heard) but it may be my second to the last (millions of people jumped to their deaths upon hearing this).

Q: Umm... What did your listeners say about "The Ice"?

A: Those that replied liked it. I only wonder what those who kept
silent felt about it. One of my critics told me that she liked how I
arranged the songs - that I took songs from random sources and somehow
made it whole. I'm very happy she noticed that. It took me at least ten
trials before the final lineup.

Q: What were their favorites?

A: Those they mentioned include the album's carrier single Britney
Spears's "Break the Ice", A-Teens's "Closer to Perfection", Spice
Girls's "Never Give Up on the Good Times", Ace of Base's "The Sign",
and Ne-Yo's "Can We Chill". My critic positively went mad over Kylie
Minogue's "All I See". The latter is probably my favorite song in the
album as well.

Q: You've gone ethereal on "Reason" and jumpy on "The Ice". How do you
plan to reconcile these two albums for your greatest hits album this
summer?

A: Yes, I am faced again with difficulties. The past two albums do not
sound anything alike at all. In fact, they can be placed in opposite
sides of the musical spectrum. But then, after a lot of thinking on the
two, I figured out that they still have one thing in common.

Q: And that is?

A: Dreams.

Q: Dreams?

A: Yes. "Reason" is about a dream lost while "The Ice" is about a dream
come true. And aside from the similarity in theme, that dreamy or
magical sound can connect the two.

Q: Oh, I see. So are we expecting Enya and the likes for this summer album?

A: I don't know about Enya but I'm currently doing research on songs
with a "dreamy" feel. I'm looking on J-pop and fantasy movie
soundtracks at present. It will be a fantastic album this summer!

Q: Wow, that's a new idea. Will it be a happy album?

A: Not all the way, but listeners can expect a happy ending for this one.

Q: So Electrique is again up and running for this album?

A: Yup. The release date for this album is only a month away. I really
want to do well on this one. I don't want another "Forca"...

Q: "Forca" wasn't that bad.

A: But it is one of my worst albums.

Q: Do you have a working title for this 11th album?

A: "Rainbow's End"

"Rainbow's End" is to be released on May 2008. Electrique is currently
accepting song suggestions for this album. The theme is: magical.
