No Read No Right

Do we blog because we want to push ourselves to others? To force them to look at our thoughts and to be aware of our lives as if we are celebrities? Do we blog because we want to be talked about? Because we want others to know that we, unlike them, have a life? That we, unlike them, experience hardships, love spells, crushes, heavy acads, or sex?

Do we blog because we are in need of attention? Do we blog because we want our friends to know that we have problems without telling them directly? Do we blog because we are asking for help, for advice, for a crying shoulder indiscreetly because telling them straight out hurts our pride?

Do we blog because something within us wants to get out but we can never keep it in completely? Like a secret crush, a bitter enemy, or a past lover among your Friendster friends? Do we want to tell them that we feel this or that without telling them in their faces? Why not in their faces? Because it is easier to type than to speak?

Do we blog because we miss our friends and are really longing for them to reach out to us after how many entries already? Do we blog to see whether which among your friends care that much about you? To see whether your friends spend enough time to listen to what you have to say? To see what you're up to at present, to even check on how you're feeling right now? Are they really your friends, if, after reading your hurting entry, they don't even respond?

Do we blog because we are unstable? Because we need to hold on to superficial things like Friendster blogs or livejournal to make our lives make sense? Do we blog because we want to escape from the harsh reality of our lives? Do we blog because we want to make ourselves believe in what we have written? Because bloggers put on their best faces when they are writing about something personal? Sometimes, so much so that what we've written can already be considered as fictional? Is that it?

Why do we start a blog and leave it after four or five entries? Because we've realized there's nothing much to say anyway? Because we make ourselves believe that we do not have enough time? Or because maybe we've realized that we don't really like to write after all?

If we do love to write, then why do we post our entries here where everybody can see? Where your friends can see? Where your crush can see? Bacause we want them to see? Why don't we just write in journals where no one will be able to read what you've written? Because we want them to see?

To blog is to communicate, to make a connection. To blog is to be formally aware of your feelings. To blog is to trust your reader. To blog is to be open, honest, and real.

(So baby, goodluck sa bago mong blog ha? I love you! Mwah! Hihihi!)

To blog can even be, in some ways, to express your love.

(Hihihihi!)
